There are various reviews about Sazanka like here: www.asoke.org/sazanka-akasuri and on Bangkok massage fori, but I want to take the time to explain Sazanka’s Akasuri masage to you in more detail. The Sazanka massage special course is priced at 1380 Baht per person. It lasts between 120 and 150 minutes and contains following items: body wash, scrub, salt tapping and another body wash. These first rounds of treatment take place in a private bathroom with ample space. The second part of treatment consists of customer being packed into hot, steamy towels and wrapped with plastic. While wrapped a strong pressure massage is applied. Once this part is over, skin feels much softer and relaxed. This is followed by a Swedish massage for back, bottom and legs. The last part is made up by special lotion massage for back and front. Another shower and you feel like newborn and totally relaxed.

Sazanka’s store front can easily be found on the opposite side of Sommerset Thong Lor Hotel and Exotica Club. It’s right on the corner of Soi 6. Some wedding studios are right before our favorite Korean Akazuri when walking to location by foot from BTS Bangkok Skytrain station Thong Lor. Don’t give up while walking. The store front will come up just before wanting to hail a taxi. That’s life and it makes Akazuri even more relaxing imho.

In 2005 I was reading about Sazanka Akasuri on a Bangkok forum. It was described as a unique massage experience with Korean style treatment including salt tapping and hot towels. Ever since my first visit I am great fan of Akazuri as practised by Sazanka BKK. My blog will describe their treatments, pricing and personal expereriences. See menu ‘business card’ in upper navigation for a scan of business card with phone numbers and spot map for easy reference.
